With a major in fashion design, California-born designer Courtney Chiang earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Otis College of Art and Design in 2010. During her time at Otis she had the opportunity to work under the guidance of design mentors such as Anthropologie, Koi Suwannagate, and Isabel Toledo, providing her with invaluable hands-on experience and knowledge of the design process from conception to finished garment. Since graduating, Courtney has been working in Los Angeles as a freelance fashion designer and illustrator for everything from lingerie and activewear to eveningwear.

As a designer, Courtney strives to create designs and garments that are feminine and simple yet sophisticated. Her designs focus on easy and relaxed drapes combined with detailed hand-work such as beading, lace appliqué, fabric dying, and fabric manipulations. Spring 2011 will mark the launch of her first collection.
